It is derived from upcycled brown algae (so-called Sargassum), which release methane - a dangerous greenhouse gas - when they decompose. By processing Sargassum algae into biomaterials, this release is prevented and beaches are cleaned up. The resource has long been considered waste, yet it does not require land or other resources to grow, making it an extremely sustainable source of active ingredients.
