This ingredient is an alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA for short. It has a keratolytic (exfoliating) effect and is able to refine the skin texture and promote regeneration. The ingredient also has skin-brightening and antibacterial properties. By stimulating collagen synthesis, which smoothes fine lines and wrinkles, the skin structure can be improved.
